Russia shelled Zaporizhzhia: 8 residential buildings were damaged, 2 injured: photos, video

An infrastructure object and 8 residential buildings located next to it were damaged as a result of the Russian rocket attack on the outskirts of the city of Zaporizhzhia (south of Ukraine), carried out by Russians late in the evening on January 3, 2023. 2 civilians were injured.

“As a result of the missile “arrival”, industrial buildings were destroyed and a fire broke out at the infrastructure object. Our rescuers have already effectively extinguished the fire. Nearby residential buildings were also damaged. Rescue and municipal services of the city are working on the spot,” explained the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

The Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, Anatolii Kurtiev added that as a result of a night flight in one of the districts of the city of Zaporizhzhia, 8 multi-story buildings were damaged. Their windows were blown out and their balconies were destroyed. In addition, the kindergarten building was damaged.

“Earlier it was reported that one person was injured. Now it is known about one more injured person: the woman received injuries, but her life is not in danger,” said Anatolii Kurtiev.

A huge 40-meter hole is gaping next to the houses and there are damaged cars.

The President’s Office of Ukraine reported that Russians hit an infrastructure object in Zaporizhzhia with S-300 missiles, two warehouse buildings were destroyed, and the blast wave damaged a 5-story residential building and cars parked nearby. According to the Office of the President of Ukraine, 1 person was injured.
