Drone attack caused explosions at military airfield in Russian-occupied Crimea: video

Russian media reported that in Dzhankoi, on the territory of the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula (south of Ukraine), powerful explosions rang out near the local airfield on March 20, 2023.

Russian propaganda media reported four explosions – they say that Russian air defense systems allegedly shot down Ukrainian drones.

The Russian occupation “authority” confirmed the explosions in the north of Crimea, in Dzhankoi, but did not specify the cause of the explosion. The head of the Russian-occupied Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov announced the “successful work of the Air Defense Forces”.

“In the area of Dzhankoi, the air defense system worked. According to preliminary data, debris damaged a house and a shop. Unfortunately, one person was injured. The Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Ihor Mykhailichenko went to the scene. The consequences are now being assessed,” wrote the head of the Russian-occupied Crimea.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reacted to the explosions in Dzhankoi and reported on the destroyed Russian Kalibr missiles, which the Russian troops planned to fire at Ukraine.
