Pro-Russian Telegram channels were the first to report the explosions. They also posted videos of explosions.

According to the “governor” of Sevastopol, air defense systems were operating in the city from 4:30 a.m., in particular, “ships repelled the attack in the waters of the Sevastopol Bay.”

“All the drones were shot down. Regarding the current situation: in addition to drones, our military previously destroyed a surface drone in the water area,” wrote Mikhail Razvozhayev.

The “governor”of occupied Sevastopol also added that the civil infrastructure objects were not damaged. Only “one window glass burst from a loud sound in the dormitory of the art college.

Later, the Russian administration called the “drone attack the most massive” since the beginning of the full-scale war.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that there were attacks by 9 drones and 7 autonomous sea drones. According to its data, the sea trawler “Ivan Golubets” and the boom net barrier in the “Pivdenna” Bay suffered “minor damage”.

In addition, propagandist Russian media are trying to link the “drone attack” to a US RQ-4B Global Hawk reconnaissance drone that was circling over neutral waters in the Black Sea.
