A number of ambassadors and Western officials post greetings to the Ukrainian military on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine (which is celebrated on October 14) in their social networks.

The President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola wrote on her Twitter the address to the Ukrainian defenders.
“Ukraine is counting on us. Our support must not stop here. Today, on Defender of Ukraine Day, I thank all the brave Ukrainian men and women defending & protecting our values: freedom, democracy, equality & rule of law.”
She added that she knew that Ukraine would not give up, as well as Europe.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia also joined in the greeting on Twitter.
“Today is the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. Day after day Ukraine fights for Europe & therefore for each of us. Thank you! Ukraine’s future is NATO and NATO’s future is with Ukraine.”
US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink recorded the video in front of the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, near the memorial wall with portraits of the first fallen in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“This year, the Defenders of Ukraine Day has a special symbolic meaning. Since February 24, virtually every citizen of your country has in some way become a defender of your land, lives, future. The United States will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes. Slava Ukraini!”

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Sweden also published a video congratulation.
“Today the Supreme Commander of the Sweden Armed Forces extends his warm wishes to the men and women of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces on the Day of the Defender of Ukraine.”

“We congratulate the brave Ukrainians on Defender of Ukraine Day! Your determination, strength and courage are an inspiration to everyone. Thank you for standing firm in defense of freedom!” Embassy of Latvia wrote on Twitter.
Ambassador of Germany Anka Feldhusen also congratulated Ukrainian Defenders on Twitter.
“Honor and dignity, extraordinary devotion and unsurpassed heroism – all this is in the Ukrainian soul! Greetings, Defenders of Ukraine! The whole world welcomes you!”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the address on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine stated that there would be a victory for all Ukrainian people because the world is with Ukraine.
