US President and British Prime Minister discussed continued support for Ukraine

The White House reported that US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak held a bilateral meeting in San Diego (California), during which they discussed threats from China, continued support for Ukraine, and other global issues on March 13, 2023.

“The leaders exchanged views on a range of global issues, including the challenges posed by the People’s Republic of China and our shared commitment to supporting peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. They also underscored their continued support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s ongoing aggression,” noted the White House.

In the context of the Ukrainian issue, the US and British leaders emphasized the importance of continuing to provide Ukraine with military, economic and humanitarian aid, as well as taking economic measures to counter Moscow’s ability to wage war.

“The President and Prime Minister discussed the importance of continuing to deepen the strong, enduring economic relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States,” added the White House.
