“We’ll continue to support Ukraine and diminish Russia’s ability to wage war. We are stepping up enforcement of our sanctions to prevent evasion & circumvention. We must disrupt the supply routes that continue to feed Russia’s military machine and will sanction those involved,” tweeted Ursula von der Leyen.

The joint statement of Ursula von der Leyen and Joe Biden also emphasized that the United States and the European Union will provide security, economic and humanitarian support to Ukraine as much as it needs.

“We are, as partners, strongly supporting together Ukraine, that fight for freedom and independence. We’re making Russia pay for its atrocious war. We’re strongly aligned in defending our values,” informed the White House, quoting the President of the European Commission.
