“We worked for a long time with Jose Manuel and our colleagues from other departments to ensure that Ukraine received a new package of military aid from Spain as soon as possible. I am very glad that there is a new package, it is already on its way to Ukraine, and in the near future our state will strengthen its defense capabilities, having received a battery of the Aspide anti-aircraft missile system and missiles for it, four Hawk air defense systems, anti-tank missile systems, guns and shells for them, as well as other military equipment,” explained Ukrainian Foreign Minister.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy noted that Spain’s decision to hand over Hawk systems several weeks ago was a signal for other countries to start looking for Hawk systems for their transfer to Ukraine. Dmytro Kuleba thanked Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel for his  quick decisions and for setting such an example.
