Ukrainian deminers have already defused 77,000 explosive objects in the Kyiv region

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration noted on February 6, 2023, that deminers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have already defused more than 77,000 explosive devices in the Kyiv region. Demining works are ongoing.

“In the Kyiv region, deminers of the State Emergency Service have already defused more than 77,000 explosive objects. Dominion of territories continues. We ask the residents of the region to be careful and vigilant,” informed the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration also reported that mines and other explosive objects can be in abandoned houses, on the street, in children’s playgrounds, in fields, forests, on the side of roads, etc.

Today, due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation, Ukraine is one of the most mined countries on the planet. About 680,000 hectares were mined only in the liberated part of the Kherson region. The Other 200,000 hectares are mined areas of the Mykolaiv region.
