Ukrainian aviation struck the locations of Russian missile systems in the south

The Armed Forces continue to inflict significant losses on the Russian army in the Southern Bug direction, Ukrainian air strikes destroyed surface-to-air missile systems of Russian troops on October 19, 2022.

“Ukraine’s attack aircraft carried out 6 strikes on the deployment points of the “Buk-M2”, “Tor” and “Pantsir” surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery systems, and a pair of Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters attacked the area of concentration of Russian manpower and equipment near Lyubomirivka,” says Operational Command “South”.

At the same time, the missile and artillery units of Ukraine completed more than 440 firing missions during the combat day.

During the combat day, the losses of the Russian Federation in the south of Ukraine amounted to:

  • 43 soldiers;
  • 6 tanks;
  • 9 units of armored vehicles;
  • 2 howitzers of 152 mm calibre;
  • 1 command staff vehicle;
  • 1 reconnaissance drone.

In addition, the Ukrainian army destroyed 2 ammunition warehouses of Russian troops in the Beryslav district.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting a counteroffensive in the Kherson region on the right bank of the Dnpro River.
