Ukrainian air defense destroyed 11 out of 16 Russian drones

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that in the evening of March 17, Russian military attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type. Ukrainian Air Force destroyed 11 Russian UAVs.

“The forces and means of the Air Commands Center, East and West of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 11 attack UAVs in the central, western and eastern regions of Ukraine,” reported the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The attack was carried out from two directions – from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov and from the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.

The Air Force also reported that a total of 16 attack drones attacked Ukrainian regions.

In addition, the air defense destroyed all Shahed drones which were launched in the direction of Kyiv.

“The Russian army once again launched loitering ammunition Shahed in the direction of Kyiv. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed all air targets. According to data for this moment, there are no victims and destruction,” said the Kyiv City Military Administration.
