“We are establishing close coordination between our ministries and the United States government for important and specific reconstruction projects that have already begun,” wrote the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

First of all, Ukraine counts on the support of partners in the restoration of energy and critical infrastructure, as well as in humanitarian demining and business support programs.

The priority for the government, according to Denys Shmyhal, is to restore people’s housing.

Also during the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

“We have agreements with the Fund about the start of a new major program, and we are also grateful to the World Bank Group for its help in conducting a second assessment of damages and recovery needs, which will become the basis for this year’s reconstruction,” reported the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
