USA announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth $350M

The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the allocation of another package of military aid to Ukraine in the total amount of 350 million dollars on March 20, 2023.

“Today, pursuant to a delegation of authority from President Biden, I am authorizing our 34th drawdown of U.S. arms and equipment for Ukraine valued at $350 million,” informed the US Secretary of State.

The new military aid package includes additional munitions for HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems earlier provided by the USA, and howitzers, as well as ammunition for Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, HARM missiles, anti-tank weapons, riverine boats and other equipment.

“We applaud the more than 50 countries that have come together to provide support for Ukraine as it defends its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” added Antony Blinken.

Details of the aid package were published on the Pentagon website:

  • ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
  • 155mm artillery rounds;
  • 25mm ammunition;
  • high-speed Anti-radiation missiles (HARMs);
  • 81mm and 60mm mortar systems and mortar rounds;
  • AT-4 anti-armor weapon systems;
  • grenade launchers, small arms, and associated ammunition;
  • demolition munitions and equipment for obstacle clearing;
  • mine clearing equipment;
  • heavy fuel tankers;
  • thermal imagery systems, optics, and laser rangefinders;
  • riverine patrol boats;
  • testing and diagnostic equipment to support vehicle maintenance and repair;
  • spare parts and other field equipment.
