The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy insists on the rescue of Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia, as well as the return of all Ukrainian citizens and military personnel captured by Russian troops. “We talked about the large-scale kidnapping of Ukrainian children by Russia and how to save them from genocide, and how to return them home to their relatives. I thank the Secretary-General for supporting our position on particularly sensitive issues,” the President of Ukraine said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also emphasized that Russia forcibly deported hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians.

“We must return all our citizens home, and Ukrainian soldiers who are held in Russian captivity – they must all be released,” the President emphasized.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Antonio Guterres also supported the need to continue the Black Sea Grain Initiative during the press conference.

“We agreed today that the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative after March 18 is critically necessary for the whole world,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
