“The State Budget of Ukraine received grant funds in the amount of 2 billion US dollars from the World Bank’s Trust Fund,” said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine.

This is already the second tranche of the grant totalling 4.5 billion US dollars. The funds were provided by the United States of America through the Trust Fund of the World Bank, under the project “Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance in Ukraine.”

The involved grant funding will be aimed at providing pension payments and salaries to civil defense workers, as well as paying for medical services under the medical guarantee program.

“Since the first days of the criminal invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, the United States has supported us in all possible directions, including providing financial assistance for the state budget in the form of grants,” explained Serhii Marchenko.
