Ukraine and the Czech Republic will jointly produce weapons

The President of the Czech Republic Peter Pavel informed on April 28, 2023, during a joint press conference with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová in Kyiv that Ukraine and the Czech Republic have prepared six key joint production projects related to ammunition, weapons and tank repair.

“We have prepared 6 key joint production projects on the basis of both Ukrainian and Czech companies. Specifically, we are talking about the production of ammunition, small arms, the repair of tanks, such as the T-62, as well as the potential production of training aircraft. For us, the transfer is a priority, so that this production can be partially or fully carried out on the territory of Ukraine,” noted the President of the Czech Republic.

Peter Pavel also said that the Czech Republic is directing its efforts to the program for the reconstruction of the Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk region, cooperation in the fields of energy, economy, transport infrastructure, and housing.

In the morning of April 28, Czech President Peter Pavel and his Slovak counterpart Zuzana Čaputová arrived in Kyiv.
