UAE handed over $100M in humanitarian aid to Ukraine

The Ministry of  Economy of Ukraine noted on March 10, 2023, that as part of the support program, the United Arab Emirates sent a plane of humanitarian aid to Ukraine worth $100 million.

“The United Arab Emirates (UAE) sent a plane with humanitarian aid to Ukraine as part of a $100 million support program. The cargo is intended for residents of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions [south of Ukraine – ed.] – people in these regions will receive warm clothes and hygiene products,” informed the Ministry of  Economy of Ukraine.

This happened immediately after the visit to the United Arab Emirates of the Ukrainian delegation led by the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and simultaneously Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to Yulia Svyrydenko, Ukraine and the UAE are reactivating their cooperation in the field of investments.

“For the growth of the Ukrainian economy, we need complex and large-scale investments in recovery programs. We strive to attract investments both in the private and public sectors,” said the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.

In addition, Ukraine and the UAE are working on a comprehensive economic partnership.
