UAE handed over the second batch of 1,300 generators to Ukraine

The State Property Fund of Ukraine noted on January 6, 2023, that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) provided Ukraine with the second batch of 1,300 generators as part of the general humanitarian support program worth $100 million. They will help in the energy supply of critical and social infrastructure of Ukraine.

“Generators will be transferred to critical and social infrastructure facilities (schools, kindergartens, medical facilities, and heating points) in Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, Donetsk regions and in Kyiv,” explained the State Property Fund of Ukraine.

The first batch of generators from the UAE was delivered to Ukraine in December 2022. 1,200 generators were sent to healthcare, education, and critical infrastructure facilities in the regions most affected by Russian aggression – Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kyiv.

In December 2022, it became known that Ukraine and the UAE are preparing a major economic partnership agreement.
