The company owns the Azovstal steelworks, which served as the last refuge for Ukrainian troops and civilians during the destruction of Mariupol.

According to Ryzhenkov, the steel is transported to Russia and sold there. Part of this steel has already been paid for by customers from Great Britain.

“During the storming of the Azovstal steelworks, which together with the Ilyich subsidiary plant accounts for 40% of all steel production in Ukraine, 300 employees and 200 employees’ relatives were killed,” Ryzhenkov said.

Ryzhenkov also said that information on the steel’s transfer to Russia and sale there or to nations in Africa and Asia came from both public sources and the company’s own informants.

He noted that the company is trying to document as many cases of embezzlement as possible and is preparing to appeal to the court in the future.

“The moment will come when the Russians will appear not only in front of international courts but also in front of criminal courts. And we will file lawsuits in all cases that have been documented,” – summarized the head of the Holding.
