“I am informed every 3 hours about what is happening in this proceeding. Currently, we have involved international experts in this case. Their preliminary findings suggest that the cause or method of killing was a thermobaric weapon. This is definitely not a missile attack — they [experts] are convinced of that,” Kostin said.

Kostin added that it is Russia that uses thermobaric weapons.

“As for specific individuals [guilty of killing prisoners of war – ed.], urgent investigative actions are ongoing, but this issue is more complicated. In my opinion, it is the priority right now to expose Russian propaganda and disinformation about the possible detonation of this building with HIMARS-type missile systems, which is what they are trying to claim,” said the Prosecutor General.

The international intelligence community InformNapalm also believes that a thermobaric bomb was the method of killing the Ukrainian prisoners of war.

Uaposition memo: Thermobaric bombs (also called vacuum or aerosol bombs – or fuel-air explosive) consist of a fuel container with two separate explosive charges. They have an extraordinary destructive power, which is formed due to the high temperature of the “fire cloud” and excess pressure.
