The European Commission, after Ukraine received candidate status, implements mechanisms for working with Ukraine as a future member of the European Union.

“I see how mechanisms for working with Ukraine as a future member of the European Union are already being implemented at the level of the European Commission. They are already beginning to reflect (and then it will turn into official analytics, already on paper, with all caps and signatures) – on what impact will Ukraine’s accession have on European policies. Starting from how many deputies are needed in the European Parliament, to what will be the impact of Ukrainian agriculture on the European agricultural policy,” said Kuleba.
He added that he also saw how the doors in the European Union open due to the inclusion of Ukraine in the internal market.
At the same time, Kuleba noted that although the process of opening doors for Ukraine continues, the European Union must reform itself.
“We will join another European Union. But at the moment, I do not see any signs that would indicate that the subject of the European Union reform is being used to slow down the European integration of Ukraine,” said the head of the Foreign Ministry.
