“What we see in Bucha, Irpen, Borodyanka, what Putin did – all these are crimes against humanity. These were crimes against European values. The best defense for Ukraine is to join the European Union,” said a member of the Italian Parliament Andrea Romano.
European deputies also noted the need for comprehensive assistance to Ukraine.
“I think it is very important now to provide financial and military assistance, as well as support Ukraine on its way to the European Union. Give a positive signal to Ukraine, because Ukraine is protecting us all today. If there are people in Europe who believe Putin, they should come here. When they look at these houses, at everything that happened here, they will understand everything,” said Michael Brand, a member of the German Bundestag from the CDU.
The United for Ukraine (U4U) global network of parliamentarians brings together MPs who are actively working to support Ukraine in their countries and internationally. The association includes parliamentarians from more than 28 countries.
