Johnson stressed that after the start of Russia’s war against Ukraine, the situation in Europe changed dramatically.

“The Russian attack on Ukraine has changed the European security formula, changed our reality and our future. We are witnessing the end of a post-Cold War era, and the attack on Ukraine, sadly, has opened a new page.”

He assured that Great Britain was ready to support Finland and Sweden militarily in the event of an enemy attack.

Britain signed a joint declaration with Finland and Sweden on mutual assistance in the event of an external threat, including military assistance on May 11.
