Russians shelled 2 Ukraine’s thermal power stations, there are casualties among civilians

Two Ukrainian thermal power plants belonging to the company “DTEK Energo” (the largest private investor in the energy industry in Ukraine) were shelled by Russian troops. As a result of the shelling, one civilian died, and six were injured on the morning of October 18, 2022.

“Russia continued to carry out massive terrorist attacks on civilian and energy infrastructure of Ukraine on October 18. In the morning, two energy enterprises of the “DTEK Energo” were hit again by Russian shelling,” the report of the company says.

It is noted that seven people were affected by Russian attack, an ambulance was quickly called, but one of the injured died on the way to the hospital.

It is reported that energy equipment was seriously damaged as a result of shelling. Employees of enterprises will be able to start work on the elimination of consequences and restoration of work after the cancellation of the air alarm.

Russians launched another series of attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine on October 17. The massive attack continued on the morning of Tuesday, October 18. In particular, energy facilities in the Ukrainian cities of Zhytomyr, Dnipro and Kyiv were hit.
