Russian troops fired about 40 missiles over Ukraine’s capital

The press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration noted that the Russian shelling of the capital on December 16, 2022, was one of the largest since the beginning of the full-scale war. Russia fired about 40 missiles over Kyiv.

“Kyiv withstood one of the biggest missile attacks since the beginning of the full-scale invasion! About 40 missiles were recorded in the capital’s airspace. 37 of them were destroyed by air defense forces of Ukraine! Information about destruction and victims is being clarified,” explained the press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

It is known about one victim in the Dnipro district of Kyiv, the person was given medical assistance on the spot without hospitalization.

According to the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko, several energy supply facilities in Kyiv have been damaged, which is why the capital has problems with electricity, water, and heat supply.

“Missile “arrivals” in several areas of the city. Russians hit critical infrastructure facilities in the city of Kyiv. There is damage to several energy supply facilities, so now there are interruptions with electricity, water, and heat,” said Vitaliy Klychko.
