“Large complexes were destroyed, for example, a livestock farm in Chkalovske. It was one of the largest meat processing enterprises in Ukraine. It was actually destroyed during hostilities. And there are dozens of such large enterprises, hundreds of medium-sized ones and thousands of small ones,” explained the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

We are talking about the agricultural enterprise “Agrokombinat “Slobozhansky”, founded in 1996. Before the Russian full-scale invasion, there were up to 70,000 pigs on the two farms of this enterprise. At the time of liberation in September 2022, the herd was reduced tenfold due to deaths from Russian shelling, lack of fodder and disease. The buildings of the agricultural enterprise were destroyed.

Oleg Sinegubov noted, the entrepreneurs of the Kharkiv region are preparing lawsuits against the Russian Federation demanding compensation for damages, but the legal mechanism for compensation and reparations has not yet been determined.
