British Defence Minister Ben Wallace issued a statement in response to Vladimir Putin’s address this morning on September 21, 2022. He says that no amount of threats and propaganda from Russia can hide the fact that Ukraine is winning the war.

Ben Wallace emphasizes that President Putin’s violation of his promises not to mobilize part of the population and the illegal annexation of part of Ukraine “are an admission that his invasion is failing.”
“He [Russian President – ed.] and his Defence Minister have sent tens of thousands of their own citizens to their deaths, ill equipped and badly led. No amount of threats and propaganda can hide the fact that Ukraine is winning this war, the international community is united and Russia is becoming a global pariah.”
Earlier, British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons and US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink also expressed their attitude towards Putin’s address about mobilization.
