The operational command “South” reported on September 12, 2022, that Russian units in the Kharkiv region are looking for ways to get in touch with our units in order to conduct negotiations on the laying down of weapons.

“We are moving forward, and this movement is very convincing. It is not only affecting the geographic shift of Russian positions but also psychological. Enemy units are beginning reformation and looking for ways to contact our units to engage in so-called negotiations about the possibility of laying weapons down and transitioning under international humanitarian law.”
“There are also instances when Russian soldiers raised the white flag voluntarily, or when our troops meet Russian military who are willing to replenish the exchange funds,” added the Head of the Press Center of the Operational Command “South”.
Earlier, Analysts of the Institute for the Study of War stated that the defenders of Ukraine quickly recaptured almost the entire territory of the Kharkiv region.
