Russian shell hit a house in the Kherson region: a couple was killed

The Kherson Regional Military Administration said that Russian troops shelled the village of Zmiyivka, Beryslav District, Kherson region (south of Ukraine) on February 16, 2023. Two civilians were killed.

“A couple – a man and a woman died as a result of Russian shelling of the village of Zmiyivka, Beryslav District. At dawn, the Russian shell hit their home, killing two civilians,” reported the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian gunners knew where they were hitting. This is a targeted attack on civilians of the Kherson region.

In addition, on February 15, 2023, Russian troops attacked the Kherson region 52 times. Peaceful settlements of the region suffered from Russian shelling from multiple rocket launchers, mortars, artillery, tanks and UAVs. As a result of the Russian strikes, three civilians were injured of varying degrees of severity.

“Kherson was attacked by the Russian army 21 times – they targeted residential areas of the city. Russian shells hit the wharf, the botanical garden, and the homes of the Kherson people,” added the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
