Russia uses sexual violence as a weapon of war, – Ukraine’s Prosecutor General

Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Andiy Kostin informed that the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin held a meeting in Munich with Alicia Kearns, a member of the British Parliament on February 19, 2023. Andriy Kostin said that Russian troops resorted to sexual violence during the war in Ukraine.

Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin met with Alicia Kearns, a member of the British Parliament. They discussed numerous international crimes committed by the Russian army in Ukraine, including sexual violence.

“Russia uses sexual violence as a weapon of war – Ukrainian prosecutors record such cases wherever Russian military was stationed,” noted the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin.

Andriy Kostin and Alicia Kearns also discussed ways to bring criminals to justice and compensate for damages at the expense of Russia.

Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Andiy Kostin also spoke about genocide that the Russian army committed in Ukraine.

“If we talk about genocide in Ukraine, then we must also talk about the forced deportation of Ukrainian adults and children. Forcible resettlement is an obvious proof of genocide,” explained Andiy Kostin.
