Russia shelled Ukraine’s southern city with 7 rockets: people are under rubble

Oleksandr Starukh, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration said on October 6, 2022, that the Russians fired 7 rockets at high-rise buildings in Zaporizhzhia, and there are casualties.

“Russian troops attacked the regional center with rockets. Infrastructure objects were the targets. Information about the destruction and victims is being ascertained.”

Fires broke out in the city as a result of the Russian attacks. Residential buildings were destroyed.

Later, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration specified that the Russians fired 7 rockets at high-rise buildings. The number of victims is being clarified, people are under the rubble.

“A three-year-old girl was hospitalized. Two people died and five more people are under the rubble of the destroyed building,” added Oleksandr Starukh.

Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council Anatolii Kurtiev also commented on the event.

“Entire entrances were destroyed. People are under the rubble. Rescuers are working on the ground. Hospitals and information centers are in full readiness to receive people.”
