Yaroslav Yanushevych, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration noted that Russian troops shelled the peaceful settlements of the Kherson region with artillery, anti-aircraft guns, mortars and tanks on January 6, 2023. As a result, 7 civilians were injured.

“Russian troops shelled the territory of the Kherson region 39 times. Peaceful settlements in the region were attacked with artillery, multiple rocket launchers, mortars and tanks. The Russian army covered Kherson with fire 9 times – the residential quarters of the city were under the attack of the Russian army. Shells hit private and apartment buildings on the territory and in the building of the fire and rescue unit,” explained the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
According to Yaroslav Yanushevych, 1 person – a rescuer was killed due to Russian shelling, and 7 residents of the Kherson region were injured of various degrees of severity.
