“As of March 10, 2023, 821 Russian missiles have already been fired at Ukraine. These are only cruise missiles. We know for sure that every 10 applications of the NASAMS system, which Norway participated in, means 10 downed missiles of the Russian army, 10 saved buildings and infrastructure facilities, as well as hundreds of human lives saved,” explained the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

In turn, the Minister of Defense of Norway announced the decision to allocate 7.5 billion dollars for assistance to Ukraine over the next five years. The relevant program has been submitted to the parliament for approval.

Bjørn Arild Gram also announced that Norway plans to transfer to Ukraine launchers, fire control points and missiles for NASAMS ground-based missile systems.

“Norway has joined a broad international ‘tank coalition’ to help Ukraine with a main battle tank. Training of personnel is already underway and the first tanks will be in Ukraine in the near future. We are also helping to strengthen air defense. We have provided short-range Mistral systems and contributed to the work on the NASAMS medium-range system. We will continue to be with Ukraine and support you on your way,” informed the Minister of Defense of Norway.
