According to US top general, Russian Armed Forces lost more than 100,000 soldiers killed and injured in Ukraine. As for the losses of Ukraine, the general only assumed the number of lost soldiers, saying that “probably” their number is not much less than the losses of the Russians.

“You’re looking at well over 100,000 Russian soldiers killed and wounded,” said Mark Milley.

US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley also added that about 40 thousand civilians in Ukraine were killed by the occupying Russian troops.

Responding to a question about the prospects for a diplomatic solution in Ukraine, Milley noted that the initial refusal to negotiate during the First World War increased human suffering and led to millions of victims.

“When there’s an opportunity to negotiate when peace can be achieved, seize it,” said US Joint Chiefs of Staff General.

Milley stated that the US would continue to arm Ukraine even if negotiations fail or are not successful.
