Presidents of Poland and Ukraine agreed on providing Ukraine with a new package of military aid

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Polish President Andrzej Duda during negotiations in Warsaw agreed to provide Ukraine with a new powerful defense package on April 5, 2023.

“We discussed strengthening of the Ukrainian army. It is very important. Today we discussed and decided on a powerful defense package that will strengthen our people. Today we are in Warsaw, but there, in the trenches of Bakhmut, Marinka, and Avdiiivka, are our people, real heroes, men, women, absolutely strong people whom, unfortunately, we are losing every day because of Russia,” explained Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The head of state thanked the Polish side for the decision to provide Ukraine with an additional package of military aid, which will strengthen Ukrainian soldiers and help protect their lives.

The President of Poland added that Poland has already transferred a total of eight MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine and is preparing to transfer six more fighters.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska arrived at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. They met with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda and his wife.
