Presidents of 9 NATO countries call for a significant increase in military aid to Ukraine

The leaders of nine NATO countries emphasized in a joint statement on October 2, 2022, that they did not recognize and would never recognize Russia’s attempts to annex any Ukrainian territory.

The Presidents of nine Central and Eastern European countries, call on all NATO members to significantly increase military aid to Ukraine.

“We support Ukraine in its defence against Russia’s invasion, demand Russia to immediately withdraw from all the occupied territories and encourage all Allies to substantially increase their military aid to Ukraine. All those who commit crimes of aggression must be held accountable and brought to justice.”

The statement was signed by Presidents: Milos Zeman (President of the Czech Republic), Alar Karis (President of Estonia), Egils Levits (President of Latvia), Gitanas Nausėda (President of Lithuania), Stevo Pendarovski (President of North Macedonia), Milo Dukanović (President of Montenegro), Andrzej Duda (President of Poland), Klaus Johannis (President of Romania), Zuzana Chaputova (President of Slovakia).
