“Regarding NATO – so Ukraine’s accession to NATO – our position has not changed. It has been the same, which is essentially we believe in NATO’s “Open Door” policy, and we’ve always been in favor of Ukraine acceding to NATO,” Melanie Joly said during the press conference with the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis also noted that the three Baltic countries, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, supported Ukraine’s accession to NATO under an accelerated procedure.

“Ukraine’s Baltic friends fully support welcoming Ukraine into NATO as soon as possible. Ukraine’s inspirational bravery can only strengthen our alliance,” he wrote on Twitter.
