Poland is negotiating with partners to create a “tank coalition” for Ukraine: photo

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak announced on January 27, 2023, on Twitter, the creation of a coalition of partner countries that can provide Ukraine with modern armored weapons.

“On my initiative, we held negotiations among the countries that have Leopard 2A4 tanks to jointly create a coalition of donors of modern armored weapons for Ukraine,” tweeted the Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.

Mariusz Błaszczak did not specify which countries are in question, although many European countries have Leopard 2A4 tanks in service. In one of the photos published by the Polish Minister, there are flags, in particular, of Spain, Canada, Sweden and Turkey.

Earlier, it became known, that Poland is ready to send to the Armed Forces of Ukraine 60 more of its modernized tanks, in particular 30 – PT-91, in addition to a company of the German Leopard 2.

On January 25, it became known that Ukraine will receive 14 Leopard 2 tanks from the Bundeswehr, and Germany also allowed partner countries to provide Ukrainian troops with German tanks from their own stocks.
