“These efforts will continue in 2023 and the number of instructors will increase. Norway also provides financial support and provides instructors for the EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine, and Norway will contribute to the Nordic Initiative, where several countries will train Ukrainian specialists in explosive ordnance disposal,” reported the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Training of the Ukrainian military will take place in Norway. It is planned to begin training this spring and conduct several rounds throughout 2023.

“The training will complement other educational initiatives. Our contribution will strengthen the overall training effort and is welcomed by both Ukraine and our allies. This training will quickly strengthen the capabilities of Ukrainian soldiers and increase the total number of soldiers that can be trained by Western countries,” the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine quoted the Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram.
