Netherlands will send 60 instructors to train Ukrainian soldiers in Germany

The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands reported on March 21, 2023, that 60 more Dutch instructors will arrive in  Germany to train the Ukrainian military.

“About 60 Dutch army personnel will train Ukrainian soldiers for 4 weeks. The training for infantry companies is part of the EU Military Assistance Mission (EUMAM). Minister Kajsa Ollongren informed the House about this today. The soldiers will leave for Germany at the end of this month,” informed the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands.

The head of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands noted that this year, together with European colleagues, they will contribute to the training of a total of 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers.

“The deployment is in addition to the 230 military personnel that Defense recently made available for this mission under the EU flag. They will train Ukrainian brigade staffs and provide battalion training,” added the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands.

In addition, Dutch military personnel remain involved in the training of Ukrainians in Great Britain throughout the year.
