Netherlands together with Germany and Denmark will provide Ukraine with about 100 Leopard tanks

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted on February 17, 2023, during a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte in Kyiv, that the Netherlands, together with Germany and Denmark, plan to supply Ukraine with about 100 Leopard tanks.

“The Netherlands, together with partners from Germany and Denmark, are preparing to hand over 100 Leopard tanks to Ukraine. This is a really powerful support for Ukraine,” informed the President of Ukraine.

The President emphasized that the joint priority of Ukraine and its partners is to speed up the supply of this aid to Ukrainian soldiers as much as possible. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked the Netherlands for the recent decision to transfer the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.

Ukrainian President said that he discussed with Mark Rutte other needs of the Ukrainian army for the protection against Russian aggression.

“The Netherlands is one of the leaders in military, financial, humanitarian sphere and legal assistance to our state. All Ukrainians will always be grateful for this support and will never forget that,” concluded the President of Ukraine.

On Friday, February 17, 2023, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte is in Ukraine on a working visit.
