More than 700 civilians in the Kyiv region were killed by Russians using firearms, – police

Andrii Nebytov, the Chief of the Kyiv Regional Police informed on March 3, 2023, that more than 700 civilians were killed by Russian troops with the use of firearms during the occupation of the Kyiv region. Also, almost 350 people died from mine and explosive injuries.

The total number of bodies of civilians found in the Kyiv region has reached 1373 – they were killed during the Russian military operations in the region. 197 of them have not yet been identified.

“I emphasize that the killed are civilians, most of them, more than 700, were killed by firearms. They were shot. More than 340 people died from mine-blast injuries. These are not the final figures because 278 people are still missing,” said the Chief of the Kyiv Regional Police.

At the moment, it is known about the death of 38 children in the Kyiv region during active hostilities. In addition, Andrii Nebytov said that a total of 14 mass graves of civilians were found. One of them is a mass grave in Bucha with 116 bodies.
