Lithuanians collected 6 million euros for air defense radars for Ukraine

The Minister of Defense of Lithuania noted on February 5, 2023, on Twitter, that In Lithuania, a coalition of four initiatives in support of Ukraine raised 6 million euros for air defense radars, which will be purchased to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Lithuania is only 3 million people, but this week we crowdfunded 6 million euros to buy air defense systems for Ukraine. No sign of fatigue here. We will stand with Ukraine until victory is achieved,” tweeted the Minister of Defense of Lithuania.

The campaign in support of Ukraine was launched in Lithuania on January 30, 2023.

As part of the initiative with the symbolic name “Radarom!” the organizations that support Ukraine have united: “Blue/Yellow”, “Laisvės TV”, “1K Fundas” and “Stiprūs kartu”. The main mass media of the country also join this action with informational support.

The activists are preparing to buy radars of Israeli manufacturers, using the collected funds, the price of one set of devices reaches 1 million euros.
