Lithuanians collect 5 million euros for air defense radars for Ukraine

The Lithuanian journalist Andrius Tapinas noted on Twitter on January 30, 2023, that a coalition of four initiatives to support Ukraine in Lithuania has started collecting money to buy five air defense radars to hand them over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Lithuanian journalist, they want to collect at least 5 million euros and buy modern Israeli-made radars.

“Lithuanians rise again to support Ukraine! 4 biggest support organizations join forces together to buy Israeli-made modern radars to help protect the Ukrainian sky. We expect to raise at least 5 mln euros for 5 radars”, tweeted Andrius Tapinas.

Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas also posted a tweet in support of the collection of money.

“Lithuania support organizations join together to buy radars to help protect the sky of Ukraine. 5 mln euro for 5 radars. Please help us and help Ukraine!” Tweeted the Minister of Defense of Lithuania.

As of January 30, 2023, the campaign collected more than 460,000 euros.
