Greece handed over ammunition and 20 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Greece noted on February 14, 2023, according to the results of the participation of the Minister of Defense of Greece Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos at the Rammstein meeting, that Greece allocated another package of military aid to Ukraine, which included two dozen infantry fighting vehicles and ammunition.

“The Minister of National Defense, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, participated today, Tuesday, February 14, 2023, in the Conference of the Contact Group for Defense in Ukraine, which was organized at the initiative of the US Secretary of Defense, Mr. Lloyd Austin. The Conference was attended by Ministers and other high-ranking Officials from 54 countries,” explained the Ministry of Defense of Greece.

The Minister emphasized Greece’s continuation of support for the fair struggle of the Ukrainian people for the protection of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Mr. Panagiotopoulos referred to the humanitarian and defense aid that has been provided by our country to Ukraine, such as ammunition and, recently, 20 BMP-1 armored fighting vehicles,” added the Ministry of Defense of Greece.
