The key meaning of the visit of the Greek President is precisely defensive. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that armored vehicles were extremely necessary for Ukraine now.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he and the President of Greece talked about defense cooperation, strengthening sanctions against Russia, and preparation of a special tribunal regarding Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

By the way, during the visit, Katerina Sakellaropoulou declared her support for Ukraine’s membership in the EU and the tribunal against Russia.

Among other topics was the reconstruction of Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that all this was a special topic for Greece. Because the community of Ukrainian Greeks traditionally lives in the south of Ukraine, in many cities and villages, a large part of which was badly affected by the Russian attacks.

“Many Greeks lived in Mariupol, in the Mariupol area. I hope that Greece will actively support our efforts to bring all Russian murderers and torturers to justice for what they have done against our people,” emphasized the head of state.
