In addition, Germany also sent 16 trucks Zetros (in total, 76 of them have already been delivered) and 2 vehicles for border protection (since the beginning of the invasion, Ukraine has received 124 such vehicles).

“Delivered military support to Ukraine: air defence system PATRIOT with missiles, 76 trucks Zetros (before: 60), 124 border protection vehicles (before: 122),” noted the Federal Government of Germany.

Germany promised to transfer one battery of Patriot systems to Ukraine – that is from four to eight launchers. The USA and the Netherlands also talked about provision of missile systems.

Patriot air defense systems are especially valuable for Ukraine, as they can shoot down Russian ballistic missiles, which Ukraine cannot counter in any other way. Patriot systems are also supposed to help Ukraine in the fight against Russian aircraft that launch guided aerial bombs.
