“Today [on January 1, 2023 – ed.] the UK has ended all imports of Russian Liquefied Natural Gas. We’re cutting Putin off from funding his illegal war and supporting countries around the world to reduce their own dependency,” wrote the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom.

Earlier, Britain banned the export of almost 700 goods critical to the Russian economy.

For Ukraine, Great Britain remains one of the largest suppliers of military aid after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. In addition, Britain provides opportunities for the training of the Ukrainian military.

In addition, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, in his New Year’s address promised to continue to support Ukraine in confronting Vladimir Putin’s brutality.
