Democrats in the United States ask Joe Biden to strengthen Ukraine’s cybersecurity

The Representatives of the Democratic Party ask US President Joe Biden to increase assistance to Ukraine and European allies in the field of cybersecurity after the hacking that disrupted the work of a major Ukrainian Internet provider last month.

In a letter to Biden, Senator Ed Markey and member of the House of Representatives Bill Keating expressed concern that “Russia may strike back with new cyberattacks in Ukraine.”

Lawmakers want the newly formed cybersecurity bureau to strengthen U.S. cooperation with Ukraine and European allies and help protect against Russian hacker threats.
