Countries of the Ramstein format provided Ukraine with more than 230 tanks

The US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin noted on April 21, 2023, that the participating countries of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at Ramstein Air Base provided the Armed Forces with more than 230 tanks, as well as thousands of other combat equipment and ammunition.

“Our collective efforts have made a huge difference on the battlefield, and now, in just a few short months, the Contact Group has delivered more than 230 tanks, more than 1,550 armored vehicles and other equipment and munitions to support more than nine new armored brigades,” informed the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin.

Lloyd J. Austin also emphasized that, in particular, the United States has accelerated the delivery of Abrams tanks to Ukraine in order to provide it with a larger number of armored vehicles in the coming months.

“M1 Abrams tanks that the Ukrainians will use for training will arrive here in Germany in the next few weeks,” added the  US Secretary of Defense.
