Recently, the Russians often use Iranian-made “Shahed” drones to attack peaceful cities in the south of Ukraine. The threat to these regions remains relevant.
Natalia Gumeniuk explained that according to their tactical and technical characteristics, drones from the temporarily occupied territories of the south can also reach peaceful regions, where Russian troops are trying to exert fire and psychological pressure.
“But dry statistics show that the drone is not as scary as the Iranians described it to us. We have almost a 2x advantage in downing these drones compared to their hits.”
Thus, according to Natalia Gumeniuk, 29 Iranian drones were shot down, and 16 were able to hit in the area of responsibility of Operational Command “South”. At the same time, the hits did not always have a destructive effect, since they were recorded both in the water area of the Ochakiv port and on the coastline, for example, on the Kakhovskyy reservoir. That is, despite the fact that there were hits, no human casualties and significant destruction were recorded.
